Outside of her stage persona, Elizabeth Grant is a quiet, thoughtful, and artistic person. She’s introspective and private, prefering peaceful environments and time alone over the spotlight. She studied philosophy and loves reading, especially poetry, which influences much of her work.

 Lana Del Rey, born Elizabeth Grant, comes from a supportive family. Her father, Robert Grant, is a businessman, and her mother, Patricia Hill, was a schoolteacher. She’s especially close to her sister, Chuck Grant, a photographer who often works with her. She also has a younger brother, Charlie Grant. 

Her close friends include Jack Antonoff, her main musical collaborator, and artists like Father John Misty, Courtney Love, Margaret Qualley, ASAP Rocky, Alana Champion, and Stevie Nicks, whom she sees as a mentor.
